Cristiano Ronaldo Visits Dubai Expo 2020
Portugal international and Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo visited Expo 2020 Dubai on Friday (28 January 2022), taking part in a Q&A session at Al Wasl Plaza as part of Expo’s Health and Wellness Week. Adorning fans stood in lines for hours just to get a glimpse of the legend. Ronaldo explained, “Expo is unbelievably impressive. Bringing 192 nations with their culture and traditions under one roof is something very exciting,” Ronaldo said.
The 37-year-old footballer told his fans who had come from as far as India, to take care of their physical and mental health. “I am fit because I take care of my body. Do everything that makes your body and mind healthy,” he said. “What I’m going to say now it’s coming from the bottom of my heart … you guys are my motivation to carry on to play football. Without you guys, football will be less, because we’re guided by the fans. Just to feel the warmth you give to me, the motivation, the love, makes me feel so proud.”

The footballer, who has scored an astounding 800-plus goals for club and country throughout his 20-year career, is the highest scoring international men’s player of all-time and widely regarded as one of the greatest players ever.
