Lincoln Center 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration

On Monday, Film at Lincoln Center celebrated a half-century at their 50th Anniversary Gala, with celebrity guests including Darren Aronofsky, Pedro Almodóvar, Paul Dano, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zoe Kazan, Michael Moore, Dee Rees, Martin Scorsese, Tilda Swinton, John Waters, Taylor Re Lynn and more. Zoe always balances being on-trend while giving a nod to style generations from past generations. Staying true to form, she wore a ladylike Miu Miu Pre-Fall 2019 floral shirt dress with a prairie-inspired collar. No tights and a retro kitten heel. This is one of those dresses you can make work for almost any occasion.

Filmmaker Dee Rees opted for a black suit, but there was nothing basic about her look. A black velvet tuxedo jacket with a dress shirt that had a fun and fresh take on a Victorian collar. And instead of a standard slack, her pants finished with a flare. Designer, unknown.

Actress Tilda’s look is straight off Chanel’s Spring 2019 runway collection. A black coat dress with a retro feel. This was one of the most talked about looks of the evening, showing that at almost 60 years old, this beauty still turns heads.

Several film producers were present at the anniversary gala but none looked more glamorous than Taylor. She wore a black asymmetric, one shoulder Ralph Lauren gown with a faux-cape. The finished look is effortless chic.

When it comes to best dressed we can’t forget the gentlemen of the evening. Our top pick is Jake. A classic cut dark grey with a simple white dress shirt, and no tie. But it’s all about the details. This Burberry suit is made from silk linen that gives it a bit of shine.
